Who I Am

Ever since I was little, I have loved interior design and the serenity it brings. Whether it was rearranging my childhood bedroom, or decorating my friends’ apartments in college, my passion for creating unique spaces has always been a part of me. It was something I continually returned to throughout many different stages of my life.

I began my career in sales, experiencing corporate America at its finest for nearly twenty years. Positions in marketing, advertising, and sales taught me the importance of budgeting and how to be smart with money–skills I prioritize in my design projects today. Throughout my experience in sales, I continued to help my friends design their homes. Many times, I worked mostly with what was already on hand, set a strict budget, and picked up projects whenever they were available. Finally, I decided to leave my position in the corporate world to fully commit myself to this art form. For years I was scared to branch out or to fail. These fears were not alleviated until I discovered the term Wabi-Sabi. In traditional Japanese esthetics (the type of design I first fell in love with), Wabi-Sabi is a world view centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of appreciating beauty that is “imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete” in nature. I try to embody and embrace this throughout my work.

Here is my mantra: A home should not feel like a museum.

So often, I find myself in luxurious spaces, but to be honest…I feel like I cannot touch anything. My goal is to help you make your space feel attractive yet functional, tasteful yet homey. In addition, I want to help create a home that matches your aesthetic and yours alone. Let’s display some of your old heirlooms and photos of those who are near and dear. Your space should speak to you and your style, and my goal is to help you achieve this. Prioritizing your budget and vision, I will craft a space you look forward to coming home to.

There is nothing more satisfying than completing a space!
